All The Other Holidays In February!

The shortest month of the year also has a lot to celebrate, not just Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day along with President’s Day are the holidays most known in Februaryit’s the ones that truly get recognition and are known across the map. Using holiday insights and every major holiday and event observed in February 2023, here’s a list of the holidays you may have not known were in February.

 

February 1

 National Freedom Day:  Celebrates the freedom and liberties gifted upon us by the Constitution of the United States.

♥️ No Politics Day: Means no political activities/statements or posts on this day.

♥️ Spunky Old Broads Day: A day for older women to recognize their importance, celebrate themselves, and their accomplishments.

February 2

♥️ Candlemas: It is the last holiday in the christmas season, It is the Feast of Purification of the Virgin Mary.

♥️ Groundhog day: This holiday has Germanic roots. If the groundhog sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. If he does not see his shadow, spring is just around the corner.

February 3

The Day The Music Died: Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper died in a plane crash in 1959.

♥️ Bubble Gum Day: Celebrated on the first Friday of February, kids/students bring 50 cents to schools, libraries, clubs or communities then they can chew gum without getting in trouble.

Feed The Birds Day: Was created to help birds survive the long and cold winters.

February 4

Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day: First Saturday of February. Created by a man who was bored and wanted to do something for his children.

♥️ Thank a mailman day: You thank your mail carrier for delivering your mail in all weather conditions.

February 5 

♥ National Weatherman’s Day: Is a day to honor weathermen and weather women who work to accurately inform the public of  the weather.

February 6 

National Chopsticks Day: Chopsticks have been around for 5,000 years and ¼ of the population use chopsticks for every meal.

♥️ International Frozen Yogurt Day: To enjoy frozen yogurt and a day to support your frozen yogurt shops.

Lame Duck Day: A day to give recognition to people whose tenure in a position is running out. That the “ lame duck “ is easing into retirement and a new lifestyle.

February 7 

♥ Send a Card to a Friend Day: Is a great way to connect with friends and have fun. It was most likely created by card companies.

Wave All your Fingers at Your Neighbor Day: A day to respect and appreciate by greeting your neighbor.

February 8

♥ Boy Scout Day: Is to celebrate the day that scouting was created.

Kite Flying Day: Is a day to appreciate kites and to have fun while flying them.

February 9

National Pizza Day: 1 of 7 pizza-related holidays, to just celebrate and enjoy pizza.

February 10

Umbrella Day: Is a day to honor a crucial invention.

February 11

♥️ Don’t Cry over Spilled Milk Day: Is a day to recognize that every once in a while a little milk gets spilt.

♥️ Make a Friend Day: You can never have enough friends, this holiday is a chance to make more friends.

National Inventors Day: To honor all the inventors of the past that made all the things we have today.

♥️ White T-Shirt Day: Honors the men and women who participated in a sit down strike at General Motors in 1937, it ended on this day in 1937.

February 12

♥️ Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday: The birthday of the 16th U.S president.

♥️ National Lost Penny Day: Take the day to seek out pennies, they are known for being lucky.

♥️ Plum Pudding Day: It’s a day to make and eat plum pudding.

February 13

Clean out Your Computer Day: The second Monday of February is a day to review and delete old files and programs as well as run a virus check on your computer.

♥️ Get a Different Name Day: Is a day for people who don’t like their given name or nickname to change it.

♥️ National Wingman Day: A time for wingmen to get recognition for all the help they give to single lonely men.

February 14 

Ferris Wheel Day: Celebrates the birthday of George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr.- the creator of the first Ferris Wheel.

♥️ National Organ Donor Day: Encourages people to sign up and be an organ donor.

Valentine’s Day: Is the celebration of love and lovers, a day to appreciate partners and give gifts.

February 15

♥️ National Gumdrop Day: Honors the popular gelatin, sugar candy.

♥️ Singles Awareness Day: A day for single people to celebrate themselves after Valentine’s Day.

Susan B Anthony Day: Is the birthday of Susan B. Anthony.

February 16

♥️ Do a Grouch a Favor Day: Do a seemingly miserable person a favor by helping them out.

February 17

Random Acts of Kindness Day: A day to do acts of kindness to other people.

February 18

National Battery Day: People use batteries all the time. This day is to celebrate them.

National Drink Wine Day: If you are of legal drinking age then this is a day you can participate.

February 19

♥ National Chocolate Mint Day: A day to celebrate anything and everything with this flavor.

February 20

Hoodie Hoo Day: On this day people go out and chant “hoodie hoo” to get winter to go away.

Love Your Pet Day: A day to love and pamper your pet.

♥️ President’s Day: Third Monday of february, is a day to honor all presidents.

February 21

♥️ Card Reading Day: A day to receive and give a card to read.

February 22

  ♥️ George Washington’s Birthday: The birthday of the first U.S president.

♥️ Be Humble Day: A day not to brag and or boast but to act modest.

International World Thinking Day: Created by the girl scouts to set aside a day for girls to think of each other and be appreciative.

February 23

Tennis Day: A day to play and appreciate the sport of tennis.

February 24

World Bartender Day: A day to celebrate the craft of bartending don’t forget to tip them!

February 25

♥️ National clam chowder day: A day for eating and enjoying clam chowder.

February 26

♥️ Carpe Diem Day: A day to live like there’s no tomorrow and take nothing for granted.

♥️ Tell a Fairy Tale Day: Take the time to read a story or read to someone and enjoy it.

February 27

 Polar Bear Day: A day to celebrate the world’s largest carnivorous mammal.

No Brainer Day: A day to do simple, easy and obvious tasks.

February 28

Floral Design Day: To appreciate as well as create floral patterns and arrangements.
