March 16, 2023

Matthew Peluso is currently in Journalism 1 student on The Garnet & Gold Gazette staff.

“Being part of the Garnet and Gold Gazette was a chance to express my thoughts on all kinds of

topics, from music to the future of Downtown Frederick, to my experience at Brunswick. It meant

a chance of self expression I didn’t have before.”

“It’s taught me more about journalistic writing, and how to improve my non-essay work overall.

Plus, it’s made me pay more attention to the goings-on of the school.”

“Write what you want to write about, no one will read it if you don’t enjoy writing it.”

Cinderella. My junior year’s musical was Cinderella, and it was so much fun. Playing the ‘lead

villain’ of such a campy and fun show was an amazing memory, plus all of my friends were

involved in the show in some regard.”

“Continue with an English Major to UMBC, and pursue either a minor or double major in

philosophy or musical composition.”
