This fall … madness isn’t containedit’s waiting.

Welcome to the Berlin House Asylum. Before shutting the gates, Brunswick’s Asylum was the city’s darkest secret. The staff vanished. The patients went silent. The screams stopped.

After years, Brunswick invites you to explore the remains—where flickering lights lead nowhere, and the air still looms with electric shock and broken minds. At the Berlin House, sanity is optional. Escape is not.

For the third year, Brunswick is hosting a haunted house, but this time its contents lead to an asylum. Those who worked within the craze were none other than the volunteers within Brunswick.

The house is located at the City Park Building in downtown Brunswick right beside the city park, the address being 655 E Potomac St, Brunswick, MD 21716.

This year’s horrible horrors will only be on October 25 and 26. Both nights run from 6 PM to 9 PM once again this year.

Saturday night will be a fun and festive evening with the city hosting a Halloween party for families. Due to the party occasion there will be family friendly scares for those that come in parties with the younger crowd who are more fearful.

However, Sunday night will be for those that are sixteen and older (or with parental supervision) who want to be scared non-stop! Even though this event will provide scares, “This haunted house isn’t about scares- it’s about community. Every scream you hear is powered by volunteers who pour their hearts into making this place come alive” said Andrew Davis, director and coordinator.

To enter the haunt on Sunday you need to register on the website of hauntbrunswick.com (blocked on FCPS devices: works fine on personal devices!) or you can also sign up at the door. There will be food, drinks, and baked goods being sold at the door. “It takes time, money, effort, sleep to put it all together and watch everything come together, but in the end it’s gorgeous to see everyone get scared” said David Hardt, Second in Command and Security.

Half of the proceeds will be put back into the future haunts, and the other half will be going toward Millie Holdridge’s medical expenses.

Millie is a fifth grader at Brunswick Elementary who is loved by everyone she has met. Millie was born with multiple medical issues, this year she has spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals and donations are accepted to help cover her medical expenses. Cash donations are preferred.
