Brunswick High School’s Class of 2024 has shown incredible athletic achievements. In this graduating class, over ten seniors have committed to become collegiate athletes. The Garnet & Gold Gazette would like to recognize this commendable achievement.
Tristan Attrill
Tristan will be starting his collegiate career at Howard Community College (HCC) in the fall. HCC is located in Colombia, Maryland and is part of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) at the Division II level for Men’s Lacrosse. HCC Men’s Lacrosse competes against schools such as Harford Community College and Delaware Tech. Congratulations, Tristan!
Grant Brown
Grant has committed to continue his football career at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Grove City College is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III school competing in the Eastern College Athletic Conference against schools like Westminster College and Bethany College. Morgon Corwine
Morgon will be hitting the mats at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland, this fall. Frostburg State is an NCAA Division II school in the Mountain East Conference for Men’s Wrestling. He will be wrestling in events such as the Mountain Cat Duals and the Virginia Duals. Good luck, Morgon!
Payton Dean
Payton will be furthering his academic and athletic career at Frostburg State University. Frostburg State is in the East Coast Conference for Men’s Lacrosse. Payton will be competing against schools like Wheeling University and Davis & Elkins in Men’s Lacrosse. Way to go, Payton!
Gabby DeMarco
Gabby is committed to the Track & Field team at McDaniel College. McDaniel is located in Westminster, Maryland, and competes at the NCAA Division III level in the Centennial Conference. Gabby will be competing in events such as the Mid-Atlantic JUCO Invitational as well as the Mason-Dixon Invitational. Congratulations, Gabby!
Brock Harsh
Brock will be furthering his academic and baseball career at Penn State Beaver this fall. Penn State Beaver is located in Monaca, Pennsylvania and is part of the Penn State University Athletic Conference under the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Penn State Beaver’s baseball team will face competition such as Potomac State and University of Valley Forge. Good luck, Brock!
Carly Lindley
Carly will be continuing her education as well as her field hockey career at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. Bridgewater is a NCAA Division III college that competes in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. At Bridgewater, Carly will compete against teams such as St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Gettysburg College. Carly Lindley is definitely looking forward to her new field hockey family at Bridgewater. She says, “Personally, I am most looking forward to truly becoming a part of the Bridgewater Field Hockey family as a collegiate athlete next year. One of the top reasons I chose to commit to Bridgewater last May was the true bond and closeness that the BCFH team presented. Not only does this dynamic pay off on the field, but it will allow me to have a constant support system in academics and beyond!” Congratulations, Carly!
Tyler Lowery
Tyler will be beginning his academic and athletic career at Frederick Community College (FCC). FCC is a NJCAA Division II school competing in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference with a great baseball program! Tyler will face opponents from schools such as Hagerstown Community College and Shenandoah University (JV). Best of luck, Tyler!
Connor Mullaney
Connor has committed to Stevenson University to continue his academic and baseball career. Stevenson is located in Pikesville, Maryland as an NCAA Division III school in the Middle Atlantic Conference for Men’s Baseball. Stevenson baseball competes against teams such as Hood College and Wilson College. Connor says, “I’m most excited for the opportunity to take my [baseball] career to the next level in college.” Congrats, Connor!
Andrew Rackosky
Andrew will be furthering his academic and athletic career at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Shepherd University is a NCAA Division II school that competes within the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) for Football. Shepherd competes against other collegiate teams such as Bloomsburg University and Shippensburg University. Way to go, Andrew!
Hailey Santana
Hailey will be continuing her athletic career while serving our country in the United States Air Force. The United States Air Force base is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and competes at the NCAA Division I level. Hailey will complete the United States Air Force boot camp while also representing the force through athletics. Hailey will be competing against other gymnasts from universities such as Clemson and Sacramento State. Good luck Hailey, and thank you for your service!
Eden Smallwood
Eden has committed to McDaniel College’s Track & Field team to throw shot put! Eden will be attending the same events as her teammate, Gabby DeMarco. Eden has nothing but good things to say about McDaniel College, “The first time I visited McDaniel, I was met with an insane amount of love and support. Everyone there is super friendly and genuinely wants to see you to succeed. I wanted a school that has a good sense of community and would have a good environment for me to learn and McDaniel seems to have all of what I am looking for.” Way to go, Eden!
Denise Yongbi
Denise will be continuing her academic and athletic career at Salisbury University, located in Salisbury, Maryland. Salisbury is a NCAA Division III school as part of the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference for Women’s Tennis. Denise will be facing opponents from schools such as York College and Washington College.
