What does being a part of the literary magazine The Creative Conductor mean to you?
Being a part of the literary magazine provides a platform for us writers to explain in detail, explain trials and tribulations we all went through in order to get where we are today. It provides a platform for writers to publish and express themselves through writing, as well as being able to see the substantial progress made throughout being a part of The Creative Conductor.
How has writing impacted you?
Writing has provided me with a way to express how I feel or thoughts, that could be fictional or not. Writing has allowed me to fully comprehend how important detail is. I love being able to write and keep people on the edge of their seat, as well as keeping my non-fiction and fictional thoughts a secret.
What advice do you have for upcoming creative writing students?
I think the best advice I would give is: do what’s easiest for you! If storytelling is your thing and facts or real events aren’t, MAKE IT REALISTIC! The sky’s the limit with creative writing.
Favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory would definitely have to be meeting the adults I’ve met. The ones that have wanted nothing but the best for me since the beginning. I think being able to connect with some of the teachers on a personal level was extremely beneficial and they’ll always have my respect for that.
What are your plans after high school?
My plan is to attend Hood College for general studies, but hoping to get into psychology or nursing.
