Though the ball may have dropped almost three months ago, 2025’s remnants carry significant potential for new releases and long awaited installments. From the fifth season of cult-favorite Stranger Things to science-fiction franchise Jurassic World Rebirth, fans will have no shortage of streaming.
Stranger Things (TV Series) Sci-Fi/Horror

When Stranger Things’ pilot season made its debut almost 9 years ago, the Netflix original quickly became a sensation. Viewers immersed themselves in the Duffer Brothers’ dramatic narrative: small-town kids brought together in a battle against dark, non-human forces. In the almost decade-long span since the series’ inception, the show has continued to gain interest. Season 4 was the most streamed TV show of 2022. And, according to the show runners, “…[season five] is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies.”
Though filming of the coming season wrapped at the end of 2024, there is no confirmed release date. Some internet rumors claim that November 27, 2025 may be significant.
There is some critique among internet users related to the prolonging of the show. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, filming was postponed, and season 4 was released 2 years after it was initially intended. Actress Millie Bobby Brown—now 21—rose to stardom after landing a lead role of Eleven, a young girl with psychokinetic abilities.
