A person’s favorite color is actually more than people they acknowledge.

Your favorite color is much more of a psychological take than many realize. 

 

Your favorite color reflects many multi-points of people’s personalities such as introversion and extroversion, emotional intelligence, problem solving skills, agreeableness and communication styles.

Colors also have lots of symbolic meanings behind them. 

RED

Red is much more than just the color of people’s favorite roses.

The color red associates with love and passion but also associates with dominance and aggression.

Although these subjects are very different the symbolism is the overall it signifies intensiveness.

People whose favorite colors are red aren’t passive people; they typically live and embrace strong emotions and intensity.

Red is a highly stimulating color that is often known to increase heart rate and boost adrenaline.

ORANGE

Orange is a color highlighted with passion and energy.

The color orange is often associated with joy and friendliness.

People whose favorite color is orange tend to have a very social and optimistic personality but also can be associated with warmth and comfort.

The symbolism for orange is adventure and risk taking.

Orange can also be perceived as loud to some due to the vibrant.

The color is also often associated with caution and danger.

YELLOW

Yellow is very similar to orange with the psychological meaning.

Yellow is associated with optimism and a cheerful personality.

When someone’s favorite color is yellow they tend to have a cheerful and lively personality much like how people preserve the color yellow.

Yellow symbolizes many things such as happiness and energy.

Yellow is the most visible color to the human eye and offers a psychological uplift.

GREEN

Green is often seen as refreshing and refreshing due to nature.

Although green also is a sign of wealth, fertility and envy.

When it comes to those whose favorite color is green they are typically seen as nurturing, loyal and genuine.

The color green also has an effect on your health and body.

The color green relaxes your pituitary gland and symbolizes balance in life.

BLUE

Blue is the most popular favorite color in the world.

Blue symbolizes many things such as intelligence, calmness, trustworthiness and stability.

Specific shades symbolize different things. Dark blue represents expertise and power.

Light blue represents health and healing.

Lastly, sky blue represents peace and tranquility. The color blue can also have a deeper meaning though such as sadness and emotional detachment.

PURPLE

Purple the color of royalty and power.

Purple has a very distinct meaning; many who say their favorite color is purple are incredibly creative and highly individualistic.

Individuals with the favorite color purple can be described as “old souls” and are described as supportive, empathize and passionate.

Purple is one of the most unique favorite colors believe it or not so once you meet someone whose favorite color is purple they’re one of a kind.

Many people don’t agree with the fact that their favorite color has nothing to do with their characteristics and their personality traits.

Bella Sindler, Brunswick sophomore, on the other hand shares her thoughts on how colors connect to people’s actions.

“I think colors can affect traits and characteristics because the colors were drawn to or one we surround ourselves with can influence our mood  and the way we act,” Sindler said.

Your favorite color psychologically affects you because they act as emotional, memory driven cues which signal your inner needs and some personality traits. 

Delaney Malone, Brunswick sophomore, shares how her father’s traits correspond with his favorite color.

“My Dad’s favorite color is orange, he’s a very optimistic and kind person. He is supportive and always has a smile on his face. If he sees someone that is in a bad mood he tries to cheer them up in any way he can,” said Delaney Malone. 

Malone also talks about how she feels she can relate with her favorite color being purple and her peers saying she’s an “old soul” and is very passionate for the things she partakes in.

One’s favorite color affects more than they think  such as personality traits and the way they act.
