The Anticipation For Summer

End Of The 25-26 School Year

Every student and faculty member in the building knows what’s coming soon: the last day of school.

For students, the last day is June 16. For faculty, the last day if June 17.

Everyone is itching to get out for summer.

Throughout the 2025-2026 school year, students have participated in sports, clubs, events and other extracurricular activities. During the year, countless of students participated or attended in multiple events such as football games, pep rallies, homecoming, basketball games, Santa’s workshop, in school previews of the productions Brunswick High School Theater puts on, prom and even a walkout organized by students.

The 25-26 school year has been filled with countless activities for students, families, faculty and members of the Brunswick community.

Despite the school year being filled with lots of fun, many members of the community are ready for summer after a long school year. Some students have spoken their mind about their favorite memory from this year, their feelings on the school year ending and their summer plans.

Many students enjoyed this school year thanks to the amount of memories made, like sophomore Julia Thompson, who shared her favorite memory this year.

“My favorite memory from this school year is probably the clubs I was involved in and making a community and lots of friends through them or the Boonsboro playoff basketball game,” Thompson said.

Another sophomore, Tate Clayton, shared how art week went this year.

“Art week. It was mostly me and my friends, but I was happy to show my art off to them and get our yearbooks,” Clayton said.

While lots of memories were being made within school, students have plan to make more memories outside of school with family and friends.

Many students plan to go to the beach, amusement parks, concerts and other vacation spots.

Brunswick sophomore, Avery Gantley, highlights his plans for summer.

“Hanging out with friends, pool parties, and drivers-ed,” Gantley said.

Overall, the 2025-2026 school year was filled with tons of memories students have made over the year in the building and outside of it. Students plan to make many more over the summer.

Happy Summer Roaders!
