These boots are made for walkin’ and that’s just what they’ll do… Cowboy boots are not just for cowboys—they are for everyone! Whether for everyday wear, work, or fashion, there is a boot for every occasion and a style for everyone!

The first thing to consider when finding your dream pair of cowboy boots is the toe shape. There are three main toe shapes: rounded, squared, and pointed. What you’re wearing the boots for can help determine the shape you need. For example, the majority of cowboy boots worn for fashion are pointed. If you’re looking for an everyday wear or work boot, rounded or squared may be more comfortable for you, but it depends on your personal preference. Steel toed boots can also be purchased for work wear. They have a piece of steel in the toe of the boot to protect your feet.

The next thing is brands. Some of the most popular brands are: Ariat, Justin Boots, Tecovas, Roper, Tony Lama, Tin Haul, and more. These boots can be purchased on their websites or in multiple different stores. Some Local stores carrying these brands are: Tractor Supply Co., Boot Barn, and Southbound Western Wear and Boots

Ariat is one of the most popular boot brands. Ariat has tons of different styles, designs, and colors of boots for work, wear, or fashion. Beyond boots they have a large selection of jeans, jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, t-shirts, and more. They also have the Ariat “Hilo” in many different designs. Plus they sell cowboy boot slippers!

Justin Boots, “the standard of the west.” Justin’s handcrafted boots make for the perfect durable, high quality boot.

Tecova offers simple and modern options while still maintaining the true western look. They offer many different materials from calfskin to python to ostrich.

Buying a pair of Roper boots allows you to “wear the west!” They offer a wide variety of boots with many different vamp (bottom half of the boot) leather colors and shaft (upper part of the boot) colors/designs.

Tony Lama has so many different leathers to give off a simple and modern look or boots to add a little color to your western wardrobe. Some of the leathers they offer are: ostrich, cowhide, goat, snake, shark, lizard, stingray, elephant, elk, deer, kangaroo, water buffalo, bison, and more.

Looking at Tin Haul boots, they look just like any other boot until…you take a step to reveal the art on the bottom. The bottom of these boots come in many different designs to make your boots stand out. The bottom of Tin Haul boots are a unique feature you can’t find anywhere else.

Coming up very quickly is one of the biggest events in western fashion, the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). The NFR is where the best of the best rodeo athletes in bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, bareback (bronc) riding, team roping, saddle bronc riding, and tie down roping compete to become the world champions. The top 15 athletes in each event get the chance to compete at the NFR. The rodeo is held in Las Vegas each year in December. This year the event is from December 7 to December 16. During this, attendees go all out for their outfits. A part of these outfits are the right pair of cowboy boots! These outfits can be a great inspiration for purchasing a pair of boots.

While buying cowboy boots, consider purchasing a pair of boot cut or flare jeans as well. There are thousands of brands selling these jeans. If going for more of a western style check out Boot Barn. Boot Barn carries tons of different jeans, styles, and brands.

Cowboy boots can be very pricey. Some boots and brands are more expensive than others. Although the price tag can be high, spending the money on a pair of real boots is worth it. Cowboy boots are long lasting and will hold up for many years. Taking time to carefully look through all your options is worth it to find your dream pair of cowboy boots. Once you find the boot for you, you won’t want to wear anything else!

Cowboy boots are not just for farming and ranching. They can be a fashion staple and an eye-catching piece to add to any outfit. Plus with Christmas being a few weeks away, cowboy boots make a great gift!
