The wind is blowing through my hair,
Soft waves gently tapping the boat,
Not fully aware
Of anything.
Finally at peace,
Calm,
Happy.
The anxiety, pressure, headaches
Are gone.
Blown away by the wind.
I feel as light as
A feather.
Blue heron flying past
Soaking in our pleasant gasps.
Small sucks swim over,
Begging for food,
We smile
Enjoying the mood.
Basking in the warm sun
Then splashing in the cooling water,
60s music blasting through the air,
The Beatles singin’ out.
Hugs of joy from reunion,
The silly trouble we get into. Orange, pink, red, yellow
Was the sky always this mellow?
Resting my head,
Enjoying the art.
Watching the flowing colors fade.
Inder the horizon,
Dark blue with stars filling in the space.
Why did it take so long to get here?
Must I leave?
Tears fall down,
My face,
As I can never stay in peace forever.
