“As the Literary Specialist, I oversee all of the reading intervention programs for struggling readers. I work with students and with staff for these programs. I started NEHS at Brunswick because working with the students in interventions I don’t get many opportunities to see the other side, the students who are doing well. I love book clubs, I love reading and talking to other readers about books; it’s my guilty pleasure. The best part of the job is watching students make progress and grow. Especially when it’s someone who has been struggling all  through elementary, middle school and all of a sudden seeing them make accomplishments and seeing them hitting goals they have never hit before — it’s the best part!”
