Brunswick Men’s Basketball opened up the season at Smithsburg on Thursday December 5th. Brunswick JV started off the night good with an overtime win against the Leopards. Brunswick JV won 44-39 with 15 of those points coming from Dillon Murphy, who also hit the game tying layup to force overtime. Brunswick Varsity started off hot with most of their points coming from Jackson Dudley (Number 14) who had 10 at halftime. The Leopards fought back but Brunswick pulled away and won the game 56-45. Aaron Birney heated up in the second half for Brunswick and ended up 13 which was right behind Jackson Dudley for the leading scorer at 15. Point also came from Eli Miller with 12, Mark Cooke with 6, Shayne Weingard with 2, Brady Renn with 4, Kahleil Seales with 3, Mark Yongbi with 4, and Jacob Genos with 3. Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity Men’s Basketball teams. Shutout to Brunswick’s wrestling and swim team for winning this week as well.
