The Garnet & Gold Gazette do a Faces of BHS post each week to highlight an amazing student, who has contributed to Brunswick High School and displayed qualities of leadership and is a hard-working student. This week the Gazette wants to highlight Carlee Poole, a sophomore.
Poole is an involved student within the BHS community. Most Roaders see her with a camera capturing moments of sports events or in honors classes. She is known to be the “photographer” for the sports teams for BHS. She recently has captured exciting moments of football games such as senior Dorran Charles carrying out the American Flag at the first football game of the season! Additionally, she has taken pictures of Brunswick’s Poms team and varsity Volleyball team! Outside of being on the sidelines taking pictures, she is also on the field as a player on Brunswick’s JV Flag football team. She has contributed to the team where she plays defense.
Poole also is one of the club leaders for the Bible Club. Bible Club is where students come together to discuss the Bible and hopefully deepen their understanding and relationship to God. Maddy Isaacura Yepez, sophomore, who is another student leader of the Bible Club said “Working along Carlee is a privilege. She is a dedicated leader who knows when to take charge, and she always has an open mind to new ideas. She exemplifies what it means to lead with integrity and carries a heart passionate for the Lord.” She is also involved in other clubs such as Drama Club, and Journalism Club where she is one of the few photojournalists the Garnet and Gold Gazette have!
All her experiences in a diverse group of clubs have made her an excellent candidate for Faces of BHS. She truly embodies what a Railroader should look like and shows a great future for BHS.
