Gabriel Berkey, Brunswick High School junior shares his experience in Brunswick High School.
“My experience in Brunswick has been good, it has its ups and downs, ” Berkey said. “Overall it’s been good, some of the teachers and students can be troublesome, but other than that most of the staff is very nice. Some kids can be annoying, but there are always the groups in high schools.”
Berkey also shares his insight through his experience in high school to share some advice for the upcoming classes.
“My biggest piece of advice for the upcoming class is don’t procrastinate or use artificial intelligence, because it won’t help you,” Berkey said. “And when you get a test, you won’t know what you’re doing.”
Berkey also shared the clubs he participates in, sharing the fun details of each club.
“I’m the founder and president of the BHS Young Democrats Club, that club is nice because we get to explain and share our political view,” Berkey said. “We also have the occasional debate with the BHS Young Republicans Club. I also participate in Soccer Club hosted by Ms. Miller, it’s really fun, because who doesn’t like playing soccer? It’s also really cool because it gives its members the opportunities for physical activity and meeting new people.”
Berkey wanted to share his future plans after graduating from BHS.
“I’m planning on going to FCC [Frederick Community College] for two years, and then later transfer to either Towson University or John Hopkins and pursue an undergrad in Biology,” Berkey said. “Then go to medical school and pursue Emergency Medicine to become a doctor.”
Berkey is an avid sports fan. Shoutout to the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins, there aren’t many Pittsburgh fans in rival territory. Berkey also enjoys watching soccer and chooses to root for Liverpool, as well as baseball and hockey mentioned. He can’t wait to watch the upcoming World Cup.
