Grayson Cook, a Brunswick High School junior, shares his experience at Brunswick High School (BHS). Cook reiterates how important his classes and teachers have impacted him while at BHS.
“My time here at BHS has definitely been a rollercoaster, the teachers here are very good, [I] took lots of fun and enjoyable classes, and maintained my good grades,” Cook said. “And high school has most definitely been better than what the middle school teachers were making it out to be.”
Cook shares his experiences with his favorite classes and the important life lessons they have taught him along the way in halls of Brunswick High School.
“My favorite classes are strength training, and the auto mechanics class,” Cook said. “For people wanting to learn valuable life lessons, I’d recommend taking auto mechanics to learn how to do basic vehicle maintenance in order to save money for the future, and to be overall more knowledgeable.”
Cook really enjoyed taking auto mechanics and found it a class that carried the value beyond high school. He wanted to also share his future plans after graduating from BHS as he approaches graduation.
“My future plans for after graduation, I’d like to go into the trades to pursue steam fitting,” Cook said. “I would also like to start a small personal business during my free time over this upcoming summer in the hopes for it to grow.”
Since Cook’s experience as a Railroader has impacted him in his time at BHS he also wanted to share some advice for upcoming classes and future underclassmen.
“Some advice for upcoming classes and current classes is to be respectful to your teachers, peers, and family members,” Cook said. “It’s also important to make sure you stay on task during your classes, and at the same time to have fun while maintaining good grades, and just to overall do the best you can.”
