BHStage Presents “The Somewhat True Tale Of Robin Hood”

This year's leadership includes Maesie Pulis as the new freshman representative, Sean Johnson as sophomore representative (rep), Alaina Nielson as junior rep, and Lillian Cheesman as the senior rep. Alongside our representatives works the managers and president. Vivian Frederick is the stage manager and Christian Martinez follows alongside her as the assistant stage manager. The President of the drama department is senior Chellsie Shoemaker and her secretary is Zoey Amell.

Maesie Pulis is a freshman so she is new to high school theatre, this is what she has to say about it: "The high school rehearsals are way more put together, organized, and a healthier environment."

"It's really fun so far, I am really excited because it is already the year of being president. I have a lot of ideas and have a lot of time to execute. I do have a lot of ideas that are going to be a lot of fun for everybody, "

"Preparation for the show takes a lot of different pathways. For me before we even start production I read through the script and take notes of costumes, props, and sets we need. After that it becomes the student leaders' jobs to take control of their certain aspects whether it is Viv for set builds, or Ellie for props, or Rhylee for costumes. I am here for guidance for the students with the help of Ms. Peterson. Once we get to the point we are building things it is the students' jobs. I also double checked things to make sure it would be a production I am proud of being a part of." —Ms. Clugston, Assistant Director

"I like being stage manager a lot because I get to see all the workings of the shows Not just tech I also get to see the acting too. I have to do a lot of different things like calling cues for the shows and rehearsal reports for each rehearsal." —Vivian Frederick, Vice President for Drama Club and Stage Manager for the show

"My favorite thing about this play is the different types of comedy that are present and as a director one of my favorite things that I really like directing this show is getting to teach some of the rules and structure of comedy. " —Ms. Peterson, Director

Aley Peluso also shared how it feels to work on the lights, "It's a lot of fun to be honest. During tech week I program the lights that way during the show we can make sure it all runs seamlessly."
