What does being a part of the literary magazine The Creative Conductor mean to you?
To me it means that after working hard and pouring out creativity into all that I do, I have a place to be recognized for it.
How has writing impacted you?
Writing has always been something I can fall back on. I find that it connects to most of my interests in very special ways. My favorites being songwriting and storytelling. When I’ve needed an outlet to pour out my feelings or creative visions, I could always use writing to do it. It is so fulfilling to see your feelings and ideas be put into words.
What advice do you have for upcoming creative writing students?
My advice for upcoming creative writing students is to manage your time well so that each piece you write can get the adequate time they deserve to become something great.
Favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory has to be when I played Annie my sophomore year. I’ve done many plays here at BHS but I still hold “Annie” close to my heart because it was my first ever lead role and I was supported by so many amazing upperclassmen and friends who helped create the actor I am today. Plus “Annie” is a classic.
What are your plans after high school?
As of right now, I plan to attend Frederick Community College for two years before transferring to a four year college to finish off with a bachelor’s degree. I don’t know yet what I wish to major in but I do know that creativity is essential in whatever field I choose. I also plan to continue my activity in the performing arts.
