What does being a part of the literary magazine The Creative Conductormean to you?

The Creative Conductor gives a voice to the artists of BHS and is an accessible and direct platform to consume and create locally grown original content. Being a part of it means that I can be recognized for what I consider my greatest talent and gives me the confidence to keep pushing forward.

How has writing impacted you?

Writing has given me an outlet to turn my own experiences into foundations for rich storytelling, using writing as a way I can emotionally unpack and learn from what I’ve been through. Writing also forced me to explore uncomfortable and alternative perspectives, giving me a broader and deeper understanding of the people around me.

What advice do you have for upcoming creative writing students?

The best art is art that is made for yourself and nobody else.

Favorite high school memory? 

Mr. Berry kissing a goat.

What are your plans after high school?  

Finish film school and start writing and directing for television.
