Connor Carrillo is a Brunswick senior known for his skills in baseball and his bubbly and cheerful personality.
Carrillo is a pitcher for Brunswick’s varsity baseball and enjoys it because of the players and the opportunities it brings that allows him to grow.
“My favorite thing about baseball is definitely being able to share memorable moments with a great group of guys while also getting to play my favorite sport,” Carrillo said.
Carrillo is in the class of 26′ and will be graduating in June. Although, Carrillo doesn’t exactly know what he wants to do after high school, he has an idea. He likes to adapt to his lifestyle and needs; see where life takes him.
“My plan after high school is to attend college and figure it out along the way,” Carrillo said.
Outside of school and baseball, Carrillo enjoys watching TV, playing video games, and hanging out with friends, family, and girlfriend, Ella McMonagle, Brunswick class of ’25.
“Connor is the kindest and funniest person I know. He has a joke for literally everything and is such a fun guy. He is an amazing teammate that cares about having fun and working hard. He has a big heart and cares about people very deeply. He is my best friend and boyfriend all in one and never fails to make me smile,” McMonagle, Garnet & Gold Gazette alumni said.
Carrillo also enjoys slushies and has a pet hamster named Moo-Moo.
“I think he likes slushies and Moo-Moo more than he likes me,” McMonagle said.
Most of the teachers at Brunswick know who Carrillo is due to his personality.
When asked to describe Carrillo, Coach Baker shared about his natural energy.
“To describe Connor Carrillo, I would say energetic, charismatic and entertaining […] He’s got a smile on his face every time you see him and he’s gonna pick up the energy around,” Baker said.
