What does being on the staff of the Garnet and Gold Gazette mean to you?
It means being able to go around our school and look at what’s happening and share it, report on it. It also means sharing and growing the community, writing so many stories from different parts of our area.
How has being on the staff impacted you?
It has made me more creative and think harder about ideas, its caused me to take time searching all around me and my life to find something to make a story out of. It’s helped me so much in my writing but also in my own hobbies I enjoy, looking for things that I can talk about within them.
What advice do you have for upcoming journalism students?
Procrastinating is ok, we all do it, just procrastinate after the idea is completely finished.
Favorite high school memory?
Talking to people I had seen for forever, but never got to know.
What are your plans after high school?
I’m going to go to FCC for a little and figure out what I want to do, while also hopefully working my job and being with my girlfriend.
