What does being on the staff of the Garnet and Gold Gazette mean to you?

The Garnet and Gold Gazette means a lot to me. It has become my community, and given me the opportunity to create a community surrounding journalism. It has been one of my favorite parts about my one year at BHS.

How has being on the staff impacted you?

Being a staff editor has inspired me to pursue a career in journalism. I have had the opportunities to learn more about the Brunswick community through interviewing students and community members. Through being staff, I have then learned how connected a small town can be coming from a larger school.

What advice do you have for upcoming journalism students?

Learn all styles/genres of journalism. Also learn how to work a camera & video.

Senior Sunrise/ Senior Painting Parking Spots

What are your plans after high school?

I plan to attend McDaniel College, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Journalism & New Media. It is my goal to become a political journalist.
