“During Santa’s Workshop, I helped FFA in making snowman ornaments and milking a cow. Personally, I don’t know how to milk a cow, but I was a quick learner when I had to show the kids how to milk the cow. The energy was fun and high all night long with kids running around making crafts and it truly made me feel ready for Christmas.”

Kylie Lancaster is a senior at Brunswick High School and is editor-in-chief of the Garnet & Gold Gazette. Kylie has taken Journalism I-IV. She is also president of the Journalism Club as well as NEHS. She has been an important part of our website design and is a social media coordinator of our Instagram account: @bhsgazette. After high school, she will be attending Hood College majoring in Mass Communications. Once she gets her Bachelor's degree, she plans to pursue her Master's degree in Journalism.

Grade: 12 Years as an Engineer: 3 How do you contribute to being a Roader? “I am the President of FFA, Treasurer of NEHS, Member of NHS, BHS Band Captain, and Journalism Club. I compete for the Brunswick High School's Marching Band, and am the costume designer for the musicals." “I enjoy working on my animal projects through 4-H as well as my Goat Milk Soap business Green Acre’s Suds." What song do you listen to the most? “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins Why journalism? “I look forward to being a journalist for The Gazette and am especially excited to report on agricultural topics throughout the community.” "After High school, I plan to attend college and pursue an education in animal science."
